A local radio station recently reported that the Knights Road/Street Road intersection in Bensalem was one of the most dangerous intersections in the nation. Data analyzed by TIME from 2003 to 2012 also revealed that this intersection was the site of seven fatal crashes. The nature of the road’s layout is highly confusing, which only complicates the flow of traffic. Experts state that the number of crashes was due to aggressive drivers, poor signage, and dim lighting, among other factors.
Bucks County Courier Times lists Lincoln Highway as the second-worst road based on total accidents, followed by County Line Road, Easton Road, and the Delaware Expressway I-95.
